Fashion Speaks Fashion Show 2015

Our very own Aboriginal Beauty, Ashley Callingbull, will grace Fashion Speaks, runway, with respect to our Missing and Murdered Aboriginal Women and Girls, Families of Canada, This September 16, 2015 Kamloops BC. We are proud of Ashley Callingbull and wish her, the best of luck at the Mrs. Universe Pageant in Belarus this August 29.

STYLE FASHION WEEK FUNDRAISER 2015!!!

First of all I would like to mention that I am not Westbank First Nations however I reside in their beautiful reserve. My family and I worked hard to obtain a Habitat for Humanity House on Westbank First Nations property. I do not receive and support from Westbank First Nations for this kind of event.

I am from the Yunesit'in Government (formerly Stone Indian Band) and it is located 114 km West of Williams Lake, turning south from highway 20 at Hanceville and continuing for another 10 km over the Tsilhqot'in River.

As a Frist Nations Designer from the Yunesit’in Government and a mother of four trying to make my dream come true is very hard, but I am determined to make my way through hard work and determination. I want to teach me kids that you have to work your butt off to get to where you want to be, nothing is handed to you. So begins my struggle to Style Fashion Week 2015!

My goal as a First Nations Fashion Designer is to become of the world's top First Nations Fashion Designer's, and make it to Paris Fashion Week!!!

CENTER FOR ARTS & TECHNOLOGY KELOWNA CAMPUS: FASHION DESIGN & MERCHANDISING DIPLOMA.

The Fashion Design & Merchandising was a 24month program however I was unable to complete the program in the 24 months. I ended up having to take an extra 6 months but none the less was able to stand on the podium with my fellow student and graduated with them.

FUNDRAISING EFFORTS:

I plan on holding Loonie auctions, Indian Taco Lunches, and any other means of fundraising. Please if you have anything you would like to donate towards the loonie auction such as, gift cards, gift baskets, anything that can be auctioned off it would GREATLY APPRECATED! However money donation is the most IMPORTANT!!!

The Inspire Fashion Show, is just what it sounds like, specially chosen, Aboriginal Designers and Artists, brought together in a evening to Inspire, support and promote, their up and coming future generation of aboriginal artists. Inspire Fashion Show is a fundraiser with proceeds going to the Aboriginal Youth Arts Scholarship Fund. The scholarship is one of the main reason for the very First Annual Aboriginal Art Festival, which is proudly presented by Quaaout Lodge and Little Shuswap Indian Band. The showcase of Designers and Artists are exceptional, talented and diverse, from differing aboriginal Nations of Canada.
