IF SHE CAN MAKE IT THERE, SHE CAN MAKE IT ANYWHERE! NEW YORK, NEW YORK!
First Nations Fashion Designer, Jill Setah, takes her fashions to the Big Apple!

Westbank fashion designer, Jill Setah, is headed to the city that never sleeps!  Okanagan Woman Magazine featured Jill and her 1st Lady fashion line in the Winter 2013 issue – and we are thrilled to tell you that this young woman’s hard work and dedication has earned her a spot at Couture Fashion Week in New York City!

Just a year ago, Jill graduated from The Centre for Arts and Technology with a Fashion Design & Merchandising Diploma and had a dream to become one of the world’s top First Nations Fashion Designers – and it seems she is on her way!

Earlier this month, Jill, attended National Aboriginal Fashion Week in Saskatoon.  “I had a chance to be one of four designer's chosen to attend Couture Fashion Week in Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan,” says Jill.

And yesterday, Jill got the good news.  Her fashions will be going down the runway in New York.
Jill is a talented and inspirational Okanagan Woman, mother of four, who has the opportunity of a lifetime – and Okanagan Woman Magazine wants to help her get to New York City! And you can help, too!

Over the next two weeks, Okanagan Woman Magazine will give 100 % of its subscription sales toward Jill’s travel costs and other expenses. Yep, we’re on a subscription drive to New York!  When you buy a subscription to Okanagan Woman Magazine from now until August 15th, not only will you get a pretty good magazine delivered right to your door, you’ll help Jill follow her fashion passion to the big apple.  That’s a win win!
